Dr Shelby Perram

Osteopath

Shelby is thrilled to have joined the team at On The Mend Health and looks forward to meeting new patients, as well as continuing care for many of Erin’s patients during her time away.

Originally from rural NSW, Shelby developed an interest in osteopathy after seeing the impact it had on her father’s longstanding back pain following years of physically demanding work. That experience sparked a passion for helping others move better, feel better, and stay active throughout all stages of life.

She completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University in Melbourne and has since undertaken further training in level 2 dry needling.

Shelby takes a holistic, patient-centred approach to care. She focuses on identifying the underlying cause of pain and dysfunction, while also considering lifestyle factors that may be contributing. Her goal is not only to relieve symptoms in the short term, but to support long-term movement, function and overall wellbeing.

She enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including neck and back pain, postural strain, jaw dysfunction, and shoulder and hip issues. Shelby also has a keen interest in women’s health, particularly supporting patients through pre- and post-natal care.

Her treatments are tailored to the individual and may include soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation and manipulation, muscle energy technique, dry needling and cranial osteopathy, alongside practical advice and movement-based rehabilitation.

Having recently made the move out West with her partner Xander, Shelby has embraced the relaxed, outdoor lifestyle. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, travelling, playing golf and is currently learning ballroom dance.

Availability: Shelby consults patients on Monday and Tuesday every week.
